One idea is related to the known field of genetic inheritance. As mental and physical traits are passed from generation to generation through genetic/family lines, it may be possible for something akin to 'memory' to be passed down as well. Such inherited 'memories' would only surface in a few individuals and skipping generations. A bold statement I know but it is Truth. There are other ways to 'blend' into other lives and it has to do with 'Time' and 'hosting'. Not unlike, what some would call, astral travelling. Reincarnation does not exist.
