I experienced a strange phenomena when I was about 10 to 12 years. The phenomena was experienced by my brother and childhood friend, as well. My childhood friend (Lisa) was sleeping over at my house and my older brother (Steve) was left in charge of us. My mother had left to stay the night with her boyfriend. Lisa was going with her family the next day to Boblo Island (amusement park). Lisa and I, decided to stay up all night so she would be able to sleep on the long car ride to the park. Around 2 or 3 am, we began to get tired, so we decided to go outside and run around on my patio to keep us awake. We were on the patio for about 5 minutes when my brother came to the door and told us to get inside because the crickets had stopped chirping. I lived in a house semi-surrounded by fields and we had learned early on, that when the crickets stopped chirping there was an animal or other something else causing the crickets to stop their usual non-stop chirping. We immediately went inside and just as we got inside the door we begun to hear ungodly, strange noises coming from outside. I can’t even describe the noise, I had never heard the sound before and have never heard it since. It was a mixture of human and animal sound that made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Lisa, Steve, and I began running around the house looking for a place to hide. We went to my brothers room, so he could grab his BB gun and upon entering his room we saw this horrifying white face in the window. It had no distinct features and it was whiter than anything I had ever seen. It seemed to glow. One very odd thing was my dog’s reaction. I had a half wolf/half malamute dog that was extremely protective and fierce. My dog was known to attack people who came on our property and she could be vicious. She was a very loving dog, but had no sense of humor about anything coming near her home or family. Well as soon as we got to my brother’s room my dog turned into a pathetic mess. She was trembling and whimpering in a low pathetic moan. We tried desperately to get our dog to attack and she ran and hid under the bed. My brother grabbed his BB gun and we all joined the dog under the bed. This thing began to run around our home beating on doors and windows, while making this disturbing noise. We tried to push my dog from underneath the bed and my dog actually dug her nails into the hardwood floors and would not budge. It was like she weighed a ton. We were hysterical at this point. We were sobbing, sweating, and praying fervently. That is where the memory stops. The next thing I remember is my friend being picked up by her father and going to the amusement park. Another strange thing is I don’t remember any of us talking about this event afterwards. This was 30 years ago and recently I have been trying to figure out why I seem to have classic signs of PTSD. There has not been a day since that event that I have not thought about that night or have had something remind me of that night. I never dwelled on it, but it was a lingering memory that seemed to have caused me to acquire certain strange habits and phobias. I will not sleep at night unless the lights are on. I have to wear earplugs and an eyemask or I will not sleep. All my windows have to have the shades or curtains closed at night and I will not look out windows at night. I frequently wake up at night with my heart racing and I am startled easily. The last time I spoke to Lisa was 12 years ago. While speaking with her I casually brought up that night and she informed me that she is still terrified and did not wish to speak about it. When I talk to my brother, he states he recalls bits and pieces, but states his memories are starting to blur together. I have never been a believer nor disbeliever in paranormal phenomena, so when I started investigating this event it was a difficult journey. Whatever this creature was, it was definitely paranormal. I chalked it up to a ghost, monster, or demon. I now believe it was possibly an alien. During my research I have found many similarities between other abductees and myself. I have a memory from 12 years ago where I am in bed and I see my bedroom door open by itself and small alien creatures coming into the room. I try to hide under the covers as the beings approach me. They make no noise and the next thing I remember is the door opening by itself again and the aliens departing. This event occurred the day I returned from Wilford Hall Army Hospital. I had been taken to this hospital due to a car accident where I had flat-lined several times for several minutes. I was not under the influence of narcotics because since I was a civilian the hospital only treated civilians on a severe trauma basis then release them to their own practitioners. I had not even had the chance to see my practitioner when this event occurred. At the time I chalked it up to night paralysis or an after effect of trauma. Now I’m not so sure. During a two day period, three years ago, I noticed that almost every time I walked by an electrical device it would shut off. It scared the hell out of me. I went to work during this two day period and I was telling my boss about what was happening. He proceeded to tell me that he had heard of such phenomena and told me that he believed it to be a spiritual phenomena that could be explained by having a strong energy force due to my close relationship with God. As he was explaining this we were walking through the restaurant (my place of employment). My boss started walking to the kitchen area as I followed. He was in front of me, and I when I walked passed the dishwasher, there was a large pop and then you could hear the dishwasher’s power shut down. My boss spun around and grabbed my arm. He said “I love you, but get the hell out of my kitchen”. He literally made me stay in the dining room my whole shift and had people bring my food from the kitchen to me. He had to hire a technician to fix the dishwasher. The technician was perplexed because the machine had just been serviced the previous week and had been in fine running order. The technician said the break down on the machine was due to an unknown power surge. I have never had this phenomena occur to me before this and have not experienced it since. I remember one incident as a child where I woke up in my garage. It was at night and I remember finding myself in the garage, disoriented. My mom was in the living room, awake, and my bedroom was right next to living room. When I found myself in the garage I began to scream. My mom ran to the garage and she was really shaken. She kept saying “how did you get into the garage”? “I didn’t see you leave the bedroom”. She was mad and thought I had snuck out a window. She saw how shaken I was and she became alarmed. She realized I had not snuck out a window. I have never been known to sleep walk and I can’t explain what happened. About a year and a half ago I woke up to find a wound on my lower right shin. It was an almost perfect circle and it seemed to have a brown pus like coating on it. When I reached down to remove the coating it was completely painless. It didn’t even hurt to touch it. When I removed the pus, the wound had a very shiny red appearance to it and I found it very odd. I knew it wasn’t a spider bite, as I have had spider bites in the past. This wound had a hollow indentation to it. I then thought that perhaps it was some sort of flesh eating insect or infection. I have recently studied this wound and have not found an insect that would make such a wound. It wasn’t an infection, as it did not spread and was not causing me any discomfort. The wound never scabbed over and after awhile it just turned into a dent and I still have the scar. It wasn’t til recently that I have begun studying the paranormal angle. At the time of the wound I joked with friends and family that I had Stigmata. I don’t find the matter funny anymore. Recently I have become obsessed with global and national matters, whereas before I was disinterested in both. I am really becoming concerned for my mental health. I believe in God and Jesus and I am having difficulty in trying to balance my spiritual beliefs with the paranormal. I would really like to try hypnosis but I am extremely distrustful of doctors and I am afraid of giving someone access to my psyche. My supernatural, childhood encounter happened in Battle Creek, Michigan between 1977 to 1980. I am having difficulty remembering my exact age when this occurred and have narrowed it to this time period. It was during the summer months. I have lived in Southern Central Texas for the last 22 years and this is where all the other strange occurrences have happened besides the “sleep walking” incident. I am desperate to find answers so that, perhaps, I can understand and start a healing process. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
